Make a YouTube-ready immersive video

Turn a finished project into a video with immersive sound and publish it to your YouTube channel.

You will need

Steps

  1. Step 1 of 6: Open YouTube-ready video

What to do: Sign in and open the YouTube-ready video page.

What you should see: A page to choose a project and set up your video.

Why this matters: YouTube needs a video file with a special audio format. This page makes it for you.

Need help? No projects yet? Start with "Make your first immersive mix".

  2. Step 2 of 6: Choose your project

What to do: Pick the project you want to publish.

What you should see: Details about your project appear.

Why this matters: The video uses the immersive mix from this project.

Need help? Make sure the project has finished processing first.

  3. Step 3 of 6: Start the video

What to do: Follow the on-page button to start making the video.

What you should see: A progress area with stages, such as "Pipeline Progress".

Why this matters: Spatial9 prepares the sound and picture together so YouTube can play the immersive version.

Need help? If you see "Processing Failed", try once more. Failed attempts do not use up your renders.

  4. Step 4 of 6: Choose who can see it

What to do: Choose Private, Unlisted or Public.

What you should see: Your choice is highlighted.

Why this matters: Private is good for checking first. Unlisted can be shared by link. Public can be found by anyone.

Need help? You can change this later inside YouTube.

  5. Step 5 of 6: Connect YouTube and publish

What to do: When asked, connect your YouTube account and confirm.

What you should see: A YouTube URL appears when publishing is done.

Why this matters: Spatial9 needs your permission to upload to your channel. You can remove that permission at any time in your Google account.

Need help? YouTube can take a while to process immersive sound after upload. That is normal.

  6. Step 6 of 6: Check it on YouTube

What to do: Open the YouTube URL and listen with headphones.

What you should see: Your video plays. The immersive sound may take a little longer than the picture to appear.

Why this matters: Checking on the real platform is the only way to be sure listeners hear what you made.
